Why CarryOn?

Why CarryOn?

Packing is stressful, especially when preparing for an extended trip.

While planning for a semester abroad, my roommate and I found ourselves doing what we always did: putting off packing while feeling overwhelmed by everything we needed to remember. That shared frustration sparked a question:

What if an app could turn your travel plans into a personalized packing list?

We transformed that initial idea into CarryOn, conducting user research, defining the product experience, developing a complete brand identity, and designing the app’s wireframes and interactive prototype in Figma.

CarryOn is now in active development. To bring the product beyond the prototype, we taught ourselves how to code and are independently building the app from the ground up, translating our designs into a functional product while working within a college student’s budget.
